What is Art Fair 14C?
Art Fair 14C is New Jersey’s only art fair – created with the mission of strengthening the visual arts.
The name 14C is a wink to the “what exit?” joke about New Jersey – but we’re serious about showcasing undiscovered artists and supporting small and medium sized art galleries.
Art Fair 14C began as an initiative of the Jersey City Arts Council, a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to support and advocacy for the arts, but in 2020 will be a stand-alone 501c3 non-profit, with the specific mission to strengthen and support the visual arts.
More than 50 galleries and exhibitors from around the world fill the rooms on the 8th floor of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, located at the transportation hub of Exchange Place, with PATH, Light Rail and Ferries, as well as ample parking.
The 9th Floor Manhattan Ballroom hosts The Juried Show – in 2019 38 artists were selected from hundreds of applicants from all over the state of New Jersey, representing 12 of the 21 counties.
How to get to Art Fair 14C
Art Fair 14C is located on the 8th and 9th Floors of the Hyatt Regency hotel at 2 Exchange Place on the Jersey City waterfront.
The PATH train runs 24-hours a day and costs $2.75 per ride – you can use the NYC MTA’s MetroCard (Pay-Per-Ride only – monthly versions won’t work).
The Exchange Place PATH station is next door to the Hyatt Regency. It is a 3-minute ride from the World Trade Center PATH station in the Oculus.
IMPORTANT NOTE: due to repair work from SuperStorm Sandy, there will be no service on the PATH between WTC and Exchange Place on Saturday and Sunday.
Yes, this is an unfortunate inconvenience for our visitors from NYC – but the weather on Art Fair 14C weekend is going to be beautiful, and we highly recommend taking advantage of NY Waterway ferry service to Harborside or Paulus Hook.
By Light Rail:
The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail has two stops which are just steps from the Hyatt – Harborside or Exchange Place.
By car – if using GPS input 2 Christopher Columbus Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07302
From NJ and south and west:
If you are coming from the NJ Turnpike take Exit 14C (of course!), exit Columbus Drive and take Columbus all the way to the end. There are several paid parking lots in the area, including Harborside 4A parking garage at 135 Greene Street and Harborside 10 at the south east corner of Hudson and 2nd Street.
After exiting the Holland Tunnel take the first left at Manila – then straight to Christopher Columbus Drive – take a left on Columbus and take it to the end. There are several paid parking lots in the area, including Harborside 4A parking garage at 135 Greene Street and Harborside 10 at the south east corner of Hudson and 2nd Street.
